I moved into Gilberdyke with my wife Helen back in 2008 after living in Brough. What may interest those that read this is that i spent about 10 years living above the White Hart in North Cave due to my parents being the Landlord and Landlady.
I have worked in the Fire Detection Industry for over 30 years and i find this very rewarding.
In my spare time i belong to a 1940’s re-enactment group, we are more of an educational group and set up a mobile RAF operations room complete with plotting table and WAAFS.
I love cooking and most recently baking.
I have found Gilberdyke to be an interesting village and believe it or not has quite a history with Gilbert’s Dyke which I am tracing and the Knights Templars preceptory near Flaxfleet. I would like to become more involved and help with the up keep of Jubilee Pond, and help to continue making Gilberdyke a great place to live.
